James Innes & Son Stonemasonry Est.1850 is a 6th generation stonemasonry company specialising in the conservation and restoration of stone buildings. We have been the preferred Scottish and Edinburgh stonemason for a number of historic buildings such as Drummond Castle, Linlithgow Palace and the Wallace Monument. Each project is unique and as stonemasons we will use our experience to restore and conserve the stonework in the best way possible. We only use lime pointing for our restoration work because of the superior qualities of lime compared to cement. We specialise in stonemasonry repairs, masonry work, stone repairs and chimney repairs.
